A recent study published in Military Medicine highlights the benefits of Succor™ Combat Foam for Traumatized Tissue in a large-animal model. The study compared Succor™ Combat Foam containing vancomycin and tobramycin (HA) to the hydrogel vehicle without antibiotics (HV) and to untreated control in a swine traumatic tissue injury model to assess wound healing and infection prevention following bacterial inoculation. The results indicated that the wounds treated with Succor™ Combat Foam had significantly lower bacterial presence compared to both the vehicle and control groups in skin and muscle tissue samples. Further analysis also demonstrated significant improvement in secondary wound healing outcomes in this same distribution. Study conclusions suggest that Succor™ Combat Foam may provide clinical benefits in a range of settings. Read the full article here.
